Exposing False Teachers
1 For you were sometimes darkness, but now
you are light in the Lord: walk as children of

light: (for the fruit of the Spirit is in all goodness
and righteousness and truth); proving what is
acceptable to the Lord. And have no
fellowship with the unfruitful works of

darkness, but rather reprove them; for it
is a shame even to speak of those things done
of them in secret. But all things reproved are
made manifest by the light: for whatever makes
manifest is light. That is why he says: Awake

sleeper and arise from the dead, and Christ will
give you light.

2 Beware of false prophets, who come to

you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly
they are ravening wolves. You shall know

them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes
of thorns or figs of thistles? Even so, every good
tree brings forth good fruit, but a corrupt tree
brings forth evil fruit. A good tree cannot bring

forth evil fruit; neither can a corrupt tree bring
forth good fruit.
