is their belly, and whose glory is in their shame,
who mind earthly things). Our citizenship is in
heaven, from where we also look for the
Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ, who shall change
our vile body so that it may be fashioned like
unto his glorious body, whereby he can subdue

all things to himself.

3 So after Jesus had washed their feet, and had
taken his garments, and was set down again, he
said unto them: Do you know what I have done
to you? You call me Master and Lord and say,
well, for so I am. If I, your Lord and Master,
have washed your feet, you should also wash

one another's feet. I have given you an example
that you should do as I have done to you.

4 For our gospel came not to you in word only,
but also in power, and in the Holy Spirit, and in
much assurance; as you know what manner of
men we were among you for your sake. And
you became followers of the Lord and us,

having received the word in much affliction,
with the joy of the Holy Spirit: you were
examples to all that believe.
