counsel by words without knowledge? Gird up
now your loins like a man, for I will demand of
you, and you answer me. Where were you

7 We speak the wisdom of God in a mystery,
the hidden wisdom, which God ordained before
the world to our glory: which none of the
princes of this world knew: for had they known
it, they would not have crucified the Lord of

glory. 8 God said: I will pour upon the house of
David, and upon the inhabitants of Jerusalem,
the spirit of grace and of supplications: and
they shall look upon Me whom they have
pierced, and mourn for him, as one mourns for
his only son, and shall be in bitterness for him,
as one that is in bitterness for his firstborn.

9 I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and
the ending, says the Lord, which is, and which
was, and which is to come, the Almighty…
