Seeing then that all these things shall be
dissolved, what manner of persons you ought
to be in all holy conversation and godliness,
looking for and expecting the coming of the day
of God, wherein the heavens being on fire shall
be dissolved, and the elements shall melt with
fervent heat? Nevertheless, according to his

promise, we look for new heavens and a new
earth, wherein dwells righteousness. So then,
beloved, seeing that you look for such things,
be diligent that you may be found of him in
peace, without spot, and blameless.

4 Let no one deceive you by any means: for
that day shall not come, except there come a
falling away first, and that man of sin be
revealed, the son of perdition; who opposes
and exalts himself above all that is called God,

or that is worshipped; so that he as God sits in
the temple of God, showing himself that he is
God. Even him, whose coming is after the
working of Satan with all power and signs and
lying wonders, and all deception of
unrighteousness in them that perish; because
they received not the love of the truth,
