LORD is close to them that are of a broken
heart; and saves such as be of a contrite spirit.
Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but
the LORD delivers him out of them all. He keeps
all his bones: not one of them is broken. Evil
shall slay the wicked: and they that hate the
righteous shall be desolate.

5 Dearly beloved, avenge not yourselves, but
rather give place unto wrath: for it is written,
Vengeance is mine; I will repay, says the Lord.
Therefore, if your enemy hunger, feed him; if
he thirsts, give him drink: for in so doing, you
shall heap coals of fire on his head. Be not
overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.

6 Brethren, if any of you err from the truth, and
one converts him, let him know that he which
converts the sinner from the error of his way
shall save a soul from death and hide a
multitude of sins.

7 Restore the soul of your servant: for unto you,
O Lord, do I lift my soul; for you, Lord, you are

good and ready to forgive; and plenteous in
mercy unto all them that call upon you. Give
ear, O LORD, unto my prayer; and attend to the
