sanctifies to the purifying of the flesh: how
much more shall the blood of Christ, who
through the eternal Spirit offered himself
without spot to God, purge your conscience
from dead works to serve the living God? And
for this cause, he is the mediator of the New
Testament that through death, for the
redemption of the sins that were under the
First Testament, they which are called might
receive the promise of eternal inheritance.
14 It is written: The just shall live by faith: but if
anyone draws back, my soul shall have no

Because Jesus was made a guaranty of a better
testament; for there were many priests, and
they could not continue by reason of death: but

has an unchangeable priesthood. And he is
also able to save to the uttermost them
that come unto God by him, seeing he ever
lives to make intercession for them.
