9 If you then be raised with Christ, seek those
things above, where Christ sits on the right
hand of God. Set your affection on things

above, not on things on the earth. For you
are dead, and your life is hidden with Christ in

God. When Christ, who is our life, shall appear,
then you shall also appear with him in glory.
Put to death your old nature which is of the
earth; fornication, uncleanness, inordinate
affection, evil desire, and covetousness, which
is idolatry: for which things' sake the wrath of
God comes on children of disobedience: in
which you also walked and lived some time.

But now also put off all these: anger, wrath,
malice, blasphemy, filthy communication out of
your mouth. Do not lie to another, seeing
that you have put off the old nature with its

deeds and have put on the new nature,
which is renewed in knowledge after the

image of him that created him: where
